"REDDDD SOXXX !!!!!!!!!!!!!" by bannedinthebronx on October 30, 2007, 7:59 pm, in category General
Well, the 2007 Chapter woiuld be titled Reenactment of the Little Bighorn - Torre's Last Stand as the Cleveland Tribe massacred the Bronxites with an assist from the insect kingdom (midges all over Joba Chamberland). With the Red Sox now up 2-0 in World Series titles over the Yanks in this century it will be a happy winter.

"I'm enjoying it NOW" by bannedinthebronx on April 28, 2007, 1:22 pm, in category General
The Bronxites at 8-13 and being cellar dwellers is just fantastic. However, it's just April so I'll enjoy it as long as I could - hopefully my elation will last through September (ha, ha).

"Here We Go Again !!!!! Again" by bannedinthebronx on February 14, 2007, 2:44 pm, in category General
As spring training is upon us I am looking forward to the Pinstripers in the Bronx to continue to remain RINGLESS this century. Having added Andy "THE HPYPOCRITE" Pettitte, who went to his hometown (Houston) 3 years ago so he could be with his family during the season, spurned the Astros' offer to go back to Steinbrenner country - I guess The Boss' proved out to be more important than being with his family.

"A GREAT 2006 YEAR" by bannedinthebronx on October 29, 2006, 4:40 pm, in category General
With my Red Birds taking The Fall Classic and the  Yankees' fortunes crumbling like a cookie (a fortune cookie?)I could not be more satisfied with how the season finished. Despite the open vaults to aquire the best free agents, once again this All-Star roster in the Bronx has kept its underachieving streak alive for a 6th straight season - MAY IT CONTINUE !!!!!!

"Waiting for the postseason" by bannedinthebronx on August 24, 2006, 8:03 pm, in category General
Like I figured in the pre-season the Yanks will be in the playoffs especially since the Philies (who are now on my HATE list) gave them Abreu & Lidle for basically nothin'. So now I have to wait for the postseason to see the laden Bronxites underachieve for the 6th consecutive year.

"Give ne a break" by bannedinthebronx on July 15, 2006, 3:10 pm, in category General
You know all these New York Crankee fans, their media, too, always crying -  they still fill out their line-up with I'll Never Be A Yankee Damon, Pretty Boy Jeter, Nobody Loves Me ARod, Muscle Man ???Giambi,Don't Shake His Hand Posada, and Still Has Something Left In The Tank Bernie. Then there is their pitchers - old man WAH! WAH!I Want To Be A Yankee Johnson is coming on strong like his 2nd half last year - Mussina is still one of the best and Wang is like  a Mel Stottlemyr.....

Well, I don't think I could have come with a better gift for THE BOSS. The only bad part was that the Bosox could not capitalize as their aces Schilling & Beckett both lost. Oh well I'll take a 4 game lead at this point - you just don't know who CASHman will bring in before the July 31 deadline.

"The Yanks won't give up" by bannedinthebronx on June 28, 2006, 10:19 pm, in category General
After Marcus Giles homer in the 12th to put the Braves up 3-2 ARod had to ruin my day with a 2- run blast. Despite their Mash unit appearance the Bronxites are hanging in there. I even have to root for the Crimson Hose to beat my Mets to maintain their 3 1/2 game lead - Hey the Mets could afford it with there double digit lead in the NL East. I.m stil trying to figure out what pitcher the Yank GM CASHman will procure - Maddux,D'Train. Smoltz, Schmidt, etc.

"The natural order of standings in th AL are shaping up" by bannedinthebronx on May 8, 2006, 8:26 pm, in category General
I accept the fact that the Yanks will no doubt be in the playoffs as their batting and pitching stats are near the top in the AL. And it looks like the SOX,Red & White will again join them in postseason play as the Boston/New York rivalry heads into round 2 tomorrow. Hey, at least the Mets are still leading the NL East even though every day it seems like they lose a pitcher.

"playing Kansas City" by bannedinthebronx on April 13, 2006, 7:16 pm, in category General
Well it seems like it's back in the '50's and early '60's when the Yanks are playing the team  from Kansas City - it appears the KC once again can mean Kissin' Cousins. The Yankee 3 game sweep of the Royals was no suprise to me or probably anyone else.

From a positive point of view from the Yankee Hater (me); at least the Mets are continuing to impress - and yes I know their opponents were not in the upper echelon of the NL.

"Hello Baseball 2006" by bannedinthebronx on April 9, 2006, 12:24 am, in category General
As the season has just started I am fairly pleased with the Pinstripers from the Bronx's "outstanding" start. I guess things are not going so well in the Tampa/Yankee headquarters--start getting the guillotine oiled. Hopefully the performance of this best line-up that can buy will continue throughout the season. I know it is only the first week of the season, but I have to enjoy it while it lasts.

On a more positive note, it is great to see the Mets and the Bosox off to fast starts.&nb.....
